Welcome to the All Join Hands blog!
Organized by the Trichotillamania Learning Center (TLC), All Join Hands is the first national trichotillamania awareness week and will be October 1-8 2006. In local communities around the nation, TLC members will be participating by hosting different events such as holding a screening of Bad Hair Life, the award-winning documentary on living with trich, giving a talk on trich at your local school, or many other possibilities. During this week, we hope to help raise awareness of trich and reduce the stigma and silence that surrounds it.
This blog is a space for organizers to share event ideas, information on event planning, and anything else you'd like to share about your event. If you'd like to blog about your event, Please Join the Blog.

Remember the three main messages that we want to convey are the following:
- Trichotillomania is relatively common disorder affecting 2-4% of the population, including people from all backgrounds, which has both biological and behavioral aspects.
- For many, the psychological impact of trich can be severe, including intense feelings of shame, isolation, and loss of control.
- There is help available for sufferers and their families. Contact TLC at www.trich.org for Information, resources, and treatment referrals.
